Stills & Specifications of Audi A3 Black edition

Audi is introducing a new model in its entire A3 line-up in the UK with the introduction of new Black Edition versions of the three-door, five-door Sportback and Cabriolet A3 models. Taking the top S line model as its basis, the new limited run A3 range feature dark titanium 18-inch S line design alloy wheels, a de-chromed front grille and window surroundings and, in the Cabriolet versions, black surrounds for the roll bars and the shoulder line. Furthermore, the A3 Black Edition models come equipped with standard fit Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps.

Inside, the limited run Black Editions are marked out by high gloss Piano black inlays and a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel. In addition to the standard equipment of the S line package, the special edition A3's also feature a high output Bose speaker system and acoustic rear parking sensors.

The new Black Edition specification is available in conjunction with the 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engines with 160HP and 200HP respectively, and the two 2.0 TDI common rail diesel engines (140HP and 170HP). While it carries a premium of £905 over the equivalent S line model in each case, Audi supports that when the additional equipment it offers is taken into account, it represents a customer saving of £675 on the A3 Black Edition and £650 on the A3 Cabriolet Black Edition.
