Some audio systems used in cars

In recent years, the trend of using premium audio equipment within the ultra-luxury automobile sector has evolved markedly, with many manufacturers offering systems that have been commissioned from a partner brand in the hi-end audio industry.
This has opened up a whole new avenue for enthusiasts to take their passion for audio to an entirely different level. After all what more can one ask for when you can literally take your listening room with you on a drive? Here's a sneak peek at some of these systems.

Audi and Bang & Olufsen
The A8, Audi's largest sedan and their flagship model marked its presence while everybody had just started to wonder about its sustainability in the high-end automobile market. It is power, performance and luxury offered in one shell. One more aspect that makes this beauty even more special is Bang and Olufsen's Advanced Audio System. The Advanced Audio System by Bang and Olufsen marks the union of two highly Boldcoveted brands in the audio and the automotive industries respectively.

Amazing experience
Available in the models Audi A8 and Q7, it indeed epitomises the benchmark set by both these iconic manufacturers in terms of style and statement. Equipped with innovative features like the Acoustic Lens Technology for the tweeters (same as used in the BeoLab 5); the ICE power amplifier for all the 14 speakers in the system and the 14-channel Digital Signal Processing platform, it certainly will make your drives (short or long) an experience you never want to get out of.

Bentley and Naim Audio
In Crewe, England, the Bentley guys work day and night, ''to build a good car, a fast car, and the best in class''. The first Bentley engine burst into life in 1919 and since then the Brits have maintained their philosophy in each and every car that hit the road. In their quest to provide their customers with the best quality, an 18-month development project was undertaken by both Bentley and Naim with an aim to make a product that would give their customers the ultimate in-car audio experience.

Eight modes
And the result is the 'Naim for Bentley' range of car audio equipment that promises to deliver the equal of the world's finest home hi-fi within a car. Each system features a 1100-watt hand-assembled amplifier (Bentley claims it to be the world's most powerful production unit fitted in a car) and, depending on the model, up to 15 speakers with drive units specifically designed for Bentley by Naim. It also incorporates a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) offering its users eight modes to enhance their listening experience - including an 'audiophile' mode also. Now that's something which will keep you busy.
