vihicle

vihicles, An automobile (also motor car or simply car) is a wheeled passenger vehicle that carries its own motor. Most definitions of the term specify that automobiles are designed to run primarily on roads, to have seating for one to seven people, typically have four wheels and be constructed principally for the transport of people rather than goods. However, the term is far from precise.

Vehicles are non-living means of transportation. They are most often man-made (e.g. bicycles, cars, motorcycles, trains, ships, and aircraft), although some other means of transportation which are not made by man can also be called vehicles; examples include icebergs and floating tree trunks.Vehicles that do not travel on land are often called crafts, such as watercraft, sailcraft, aircraft, hovercraft and spacecraft. Types of vehicles:

Auto rickshaws: Motorized version of the traditional rickshaw.
Bicycles: A bicycle, is a pedal-driven, human-powered vehicle with two wheels.
Buses: A bus is a large road vehicle intended to carry numerous persons in addition to the driver and sometimes a conductor.
Cars: car is a four wheeled passenger vehicle that carries its own motor.
Coaches: coach is used to refer to a large motor vehicle for conveying passengers.
Vans: A van is a vehicle used for transporting goods or groups of people etc...

The first automobile invented by Karl Benz in 1885-1886. This was the first automobile designed and built as such, rather than a converted carriage, boat, or cart. Among other items Benz invented are the speed regulation system known also as an accelerator, ignition using sparks from a battery, the spark plug, the clutch, the gear shift, and the water radiator. Some sources suggest that Ferdinand Verbiest, whilst a member of a Jesuit mission in China, may have built the first steam powered car around 1672.In 1804 Evans demonstrated his first successful self-propelled vehicle, which not only was the first automobile in the US but was also the first amphibious vehicle.Since the 1920s nearly all cars have been mass-produced to meet market needs, so marketing plans have often heavily influenced automobile design.
