Fiat and UK car hire company Fiat have teamed up in order to reduce the rental hire giant’s carbon footprint. The company will offer ‘greener’ models from Fiat including the Punto, Brava, Idea, and the highly environmentally friendly super mini, the Fiat 500.
In the last few years Fiat has been aiming to produce ‘greener’ cars with lower carbon emissions across all models. The new Fiat 500 mini has a road tax of only £35 per year, and is able to be driven around London’s congestion free zone because of the little impact the car has on the environment.
Europcar has been leading the way in the implementation of ‘green’ car hire innovations, having been awarded the Green Charter in 2008 which highlights the efforts the company has made to lower carbon gas emissions.
